Medscape combines Oncology+Hematology at $464K; construct mismatch
Each source figure is reproduced as published, with attribution. The Midpoint is Attending Financial's own calculation — a plain average of the sources that cover the same specialty — not a statistic published by anyone. Doximity figures reflect 2024 earned income (surveyed 2025, n≈37,000 physicians, self-reported). Medscape figures reflect 2025 earned income (surveyed Sept–Dec 2025, n=5,916 physicians, self-reported). MIDPOINT IS OUR OWN CALCULATION, not a published figure: it is the arithmetic mean of the sources above it, shown only where both cover the same specialty construct. It has no sampling frame of its own and no confidence interval, because it is not a survey result — it is a convenience figure for readers who want one number, and the per-source columns beside it are the actual evidence. Where the sources disagree materially, that disagreement is the more useful finding and the Midpoint is suppressed rather than averaged.
