Where does your offer sit?

Ten seconds: pick your specialty, type your base salary, and the federal wage survey reads it back by percentile. Nothing is stored — your numbers stay in the address bar.

The check runs for the 15 specialties the federal survey tracks on their own. For the rest we show the surveys, and the survey’s catch-all figure labelled as what it is, rather than invent a row.

› Methodology note

Doximity 2026 figures reflect 2025 earned income (nearly 23,000 full-time U.S. physicians practising at least 40 hours a week, surveyed January–December 2025, self-reported; pooled with over 250,000 responses across seven years). Medscape 2026 figures reflect 2025 earned income (surveyed September–December 2025, n=5,916 physicians, self-reported). The year-over-year change is our arithmetic from the two Doximity tables (2026 report against 2025 report, which reflected 2024 income). The midpoint is ours, not a published figure: it is the arithmetic mean of the two sources above it, shown only where both cover the same specialty construct and the same income year. It has no sampling frame of its own and no confidence interval, because it is not a survey result — it is a convenience figure for readers who want one number, and the per-source columns beside it are the actual evidence. Where the sources disagree by more than a quarter, that disagreement is the more useful finding and the Midpoint is suppressed rather than averaged. Rows marked ⚠ Stale use Medscape data re-published from its 2024 survey with no fresh 2025 collection. Suppress flag indicates construct mismatch or insufficient cross-source confirmation.

Survey averages tell you the market. Your contract tells you your number.

Every specialty above links to its page, where the federal wage survey reads your offer back — no account. A physician account keeps the offers you check side by side, reads your contract’s $/wRVU rate against your own production, and lets you add your compensation to the verified physician dataset.

The rules this page adds

  • Every figure is reproduced as its source published it. Nothing is interpolated, rounded, or filled in.
  • The midpoint is our arithmetic: the mean of the two figures, only where both cover the same specialty and the same income year, and only when they sit within 25% of each other. Past that, the disagreement is the finding and no midpoint is shown.
  • The year-over-year change is our arithmetic from Doximity’s two tables (Doximity 2026 against Doximity 2025, which reported 2024 income). It matches the growth list Doximity publishes for its top ten.
  • Physician-contributed figures follow Doximity’s sampling rule and a stricter display rule: full-time physicians only, NPI-verified, and no number at all for a specialty × geography × setting cell with fewer than 30 contributors. Percentiles are never computed below that floor.
